Inspiration
The Brecciano Table Lamp started from the polished marble paperweights on old study desks, heavy rounded stones that held down maps, letters and open books. Most were cut from breccia, a marble made of broken pieces of stone set back together, so every one had its own pattern of pale patches and dark veins. We shaped the base like one of those paperweights, low and rounded, polished it smooth, and finished it with a simple pleated shade so the stone stays the part you notice.

The base is cut from natural marble. The veining, color and pattern differ on every piece, so your base will not look exactly like the photos.

Which marble color should I choose?
Burgundy & White has bold red-brown veins on a pale ground, Black & Gold is the darkest and suits a desk or a moody living room, and Green brings a single color accent to a bedroom or a shelf.
Is the base real marble?
Yes. The base is cut from natural marble and polished, so the veining and pattern vary from piece to piece. Wipe it with a dry cloth and keep acidic cleaners off the stone.
How does the light spread?
The pleated fabric shade sends most of the light down onto the desk or table and lets some glow through the folds, so it works as a desk lamp, a reading light or a bedside lamp.
Is a bulb included, and how do I turn it on?
Yes. It comes with one E26 or E27 bulb in warm 3000K light. E26 is the standard screw base used in the US. It plugs into a wall outlet and turns on with the inline switch on the 150cm/59″ cord.
