Inspiration
The Caldrino Floor Lamp started from the well sweeps on old farms, a long wooden pole balanced on a post, reaching out over the well with a bucket hanging from the far end. One end sat close to the ground, the other stretched far out, and a simple joint at the top held the whole thing in place. We kept that long reach and the visible joint, turned the post into a slim stem on a round base, and hung a fabric shade where the bucket used to be.
Key Features
Long Reach
The arm reaches 110cm/43.3″ across, so the shade sits over a sofa or armchair while the base stays beside it.
Heavy, Steady Base
A 30cm/11.8″ round base and a total weight of 18.8kg/41.4 lb keep the long arm balanced.
Trimmed Fabric Shade
A cream fabric shade edged in tan sends light down onto a book or a chair below.

FAQ
Will it reach over my sofa?
The arm reaches 110cm/43.3″ across at a height of 163cm/64.2″, so with the base set beside or behind a sofa, sectional or armchair, the shade sits over the seat for reading.
Is it stable with that long arm?
Yes. The lamp weighs 18.8kg/41.4 lb in total, most of it low in the 30cm/11.8″ round base, which keeps it steady with the arm reaching out.
Is it good for reading?
Yes. The fabric shade points the light down onto a book, a lap or a side table, and some light glows through the fabric into the room.
Is a bulb included, and how do I turn it on?
Yes. It comes with one E26 or E27 bulb in warm 3000K light. E26 is the standard screw base used in the US. It plugs into a wall outlet and turns on with the foot switch on the 450cm/177″ cord.
